Ultimately I want to make a life where I have time to paint, instead of constantly sacrificing my days to the chores of making a living. I have a BFA Cum Laude (1984) from what was known at the time as "The Portland School of Art", but which is now known as MECA (Maine College of Art). Painting (for me) is a deeply entraining and non-verbal contemplative process. I still have my work from school sitting here and there, forlornly calling out to me - "Hey! What about this big part of you, Buddy?!" And there is a recognition that time is running along swiftly.
I would prefer to have a similiar situation as Degas, who had a pile of money he could live from while he concerned himself with artistic discovery. I am hoping that my natural insect / bug repellent 'Skeeter Skidaddler , will make me a squillionaire or at least a half a squillionaire. My intentions are honorable: I promise to make great art which will inspire generations of art lovers, and provide commodious opportunities for derision from all art hating Philistines. Joy for all! It can work!
Now, here's what I ask of you, my dear readers: buy a bottle or two of my fine and fragrant natural bug repellent. Help to make me a squillionaire; Help me to make great art! Much appreciated!
