I have an orange and white three legged cat named Rapper. He's a rescue kitty who showed up one day years ago, back right leg was severely damaged. He had always been a friendly beast and so I adopted him then and there, took him to the Vet; Leg removed, neutered. Now he's my indoor cat buddy.
Rapper is mobile to a degree, he can walk, but generally finds a nice spot to lay and view the world: sits up on top of a box, or splayed out in a sunny spot, snores well. King of the house, so to speak.
There are two things that Rapper lives for: a vigorous and thorough scratching and a good meal. Right now he is walking up to me (thump thump thump) and gives a soft cry. (pause while I scratch). Later he'll "remind" me that he'd like a bite to eat.
Simplicity of life with contentment is a wonderful achievement. Rapper is with me to remind me to appreciate the finer moments of living, and to do so more often. I am thankful for his presence and example.
